We can provide numbing. The treatment can take 30 to 60 minutes depending on how many areas of the face are treated.
Post-Care
Avoid strenuous activities for 24 hours. Ice treated area 20 minutes on, 20 minutes off for swelling. If there is bruising, take Advil and avoid Aspirin. You may also take arnica as advised by your provider.

How quickly will I be able to see the results of a filler treatment?
When you come in for fillers at AMARA, you should be able to see the results from treatment immediately following the procedure. It is common to experience some bruising or swelling but those should resolve within 2 weeks.
What do I have to do to prepare for a lip filler treatment at AMARA?
To prepare for a lip filler treatment at AMARA, do not take any anti-inflammatories like ibuprofen or Advil, or any supplements including St. John’s Wort, or fish oil one week prior to the treatment. We also ask guests to avoid drinking any alcoholic beverage 24 hours prior to treatment.
Is there any good advice for what to do after the procedure?
We advise guests not to drink any alcoholic beverages, smoke, or drink through a straw for the first 24 hours after having a treatment of lip filler. To reduce swelling or the chances of filler moving from the target area, sleep on your back with your head raised using 2 to 3 pillows. Make sure you stay hydrated as well.
When will I see results from my lip filler session?
You should see immediate results from your session of lip filler in AMARA. It’s normal for there to be some swelling or bruising at the injection sites that should disappear after a few days. Full results will be visible after 2 weeks.
